Onion Creek Campground:
BLM reservable Fee camp site for Equestrians.

Onion Creek is about 20 miles east on Hwy 128 from it's junction
with Hwy 191. Hwy 128 starts at 191 by the Colorado river and is
4 miles north of the center of Moab.

Camping Facilities:
Fire grills, Tables, Pit Toilets, Horse stalls
Four stalls suitable for 2 horses each.
There is usually water in the creek but definitely not fit for humans.
Some horses will drink it but use your good discretion. You probably
will want to bring water for both horses and humans.


BLM Fees:
The Onion Creek sites must be reserved
at least 1 day ahead, otherwise it is 1st come. Horse sites can
be reserved any time starting 01-Jan of each year.
BLM is the manager. Fee's are $15 to reserve plus $20 (Min)
for the 1st 8 people, $2.50 for each additional over 8 people.
Site maxium is 20 people.


Ken's Lake Campground:
BLM has two reservable FEE camp sites (A&B) for Equestrians.

Camping Facilities:
Each site has Fire grills, Tables, restrooms close by,
slant parking, camp host.
Water for horses available from stream.
There are several other camping sites at Ken's Lake but they
do not have horse stalls and are NOT reservable.
You can park horse trailers South of the Ken's Lake road
to save space in the camp sites.
Ken's Lake is 8 miles south from the center of Moab,
1 mile off of Spanish Valley Dr.

BLM Rules & Fees
Ken's Lake has 2 reservable horse camp sites (A & B).
They are located just off the road in the 1st camgrounds.
Each has a large pen suitable for several horses
depending on how well they get along. The sites must be reserved
at least 1 day ahead, otherwise it is 1st come. Horse sites can
be reserved any time starting 01-Jan of each year.
